The same plugs would show up in VST and AU formats, which indicated that the plugins were in fact installed on the system. To make a long story short, I noticed that about half of the Mercury bundle plugins weren’t showing up in VST3 format in REAPER. With that being said, here’s what happened: Your best bet is to contact support at Waves or Cockos and see if you can get assistance with the issue. If you’re having issues, there may be other factors that are causing your issues. Note that I’m not advising you to take these steps yourselves. The folks at Waves’ tech support team were awesome at helping me figure out the problem, and I want to document the issue here in case any of you are experiencing something similar. But the problems were neither the fault of Waves or of Cockos. As a long time REAPER user and long time Waves user, I didn’t anticipate any problems. I decided to give this a try and download the Mercury Bundle. Waves recently announced a new subscription plan which allows users to subscribe to their Silver and Mercury bundles. Any clues to solving problems like this are gold. He got through it and I asked him to share the experience to help others in the same situation. Brandon recently went hell with getting his Waves VST3 plugins all into REAPER. You would think that this would be a common issue and/or easily rectified, but I can't seem to find any solutions. Further, on Serato Sample, I have to re-load the samples I had chosen (not to mention their key, the same slice settings, etc.) which is impossible. I know that I could just re-load the plugins in question, but patch selections / presets are lost if I do this. which leads me to my question - is there ANY way to relocated the plugins without losing my settings? The pop-up box reporting the missing plugins does NOT give the option to locate these 'missing' plugins. I think that the issue is the plugins have a different file directory path than they did on my desktop, so Live is not finding them. I tried to Re-Scan plugins from within Ableton Live before even opening a project, to see if that would update things, but no luck. Some Waves plugins, Serato Sample, etc etc. Unfortunately, I went to open a project created a few months ago - on my desktop - and upon loading the project, it says 'The VST Plugin Could Not Be Found' next to a list of a few plugins that ARE on my laptop. I put every plugin / software application onto the laptop that was originally on my iMac desktop - so I figured there would be no issues. I have historically created all of my Live projects on my iMac, however, I recently got a newer Macbook, so I've been creating solely on that.
